Whatever Next for the MC70?

I’ve kicked footballs at it, used it in a game of ice hockey and recently shot it! Can this Motorola MC70 really survive this?

A spot of seasonal hunting...

My MC70 has shown unbeatable ruggedness through intense heat, ice, water and severe pressure and aside from a broken stylus suffered during the initial football test, it has remained in almost full health. The time has come to see just how far I can push the limits of ruggedness...and sense!

If you had hoped for some outrageous device shooting and a screen shattering visual feast...you’re in luck! One man, a dog and a shotgun, what more could you ask for?

This was a truly remarkable test for the MC70, and the outcome was really quite amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed getting my country clobber on and jaunting into my local pastures to ‘take-down’ this so far unbreakable beast!

Will this be the end for my testing endeavours? ...I certainly think it will be for this MC70 unit at least!

Head on over and enjoy this outlandish test at www.isitrugged.co.uk

Test like a pirate day

How absurd can these test requests become!! In honour of ‘Talk Like a Pirate Day’ my inbox has been inundated with sea faring requests.

Racking my brains on how I could engineer a genuine Pirate test I have dragged my second cousin Captain Waite off of the seven seas and asked him to look after my Motorola MC70. As a wise man once said delegation is the key to the best mobile computer tests and this is no different! You can see the antics of my estranged cousin at www.isitrugged.co.uk.

I’ll let you into a family secret, I cannot understand a word that the Captain says but I hope you enjoy this test and don’t forget to hold onto your pirate hats for next weeks test – it really is going to be memorable.

Before I sign off I have one piece of advice, don’t call the Captain a pirate or he’ll make you walk the plank.

Until next week

MC70 Test...Match Special

This week’s video is dedicated to Patrick from Hatfield.
As I sat watching England retain the Ashes I just hoped that this test idea would pop into my email, so thank you very much.

In a swiftly created Rugged Cricket World Cup I invited Janick to a short game of limited overs. To set the scene as the covers came off, the outfield was still rather damp but that wouldn’t stop me and my Motorola MC70 from showcasing our rugged credentials against Janick and his less than rugged abilities.

The sledging was unlike anything that I have heard on a civilised Cricket pitch so as I took on the role of Darryl Cullinan to Janick’s Shane Warne we battled it out. For anyone of a mild disposition fortunately the stumps mic didn’t pick up any of Janick’s potty mouth so you can share this MC70 test with the whole family.

So as Janick whined about the pudding of a pitch, I pushed delivery after delivery to the boundary with my nimble footwork and then tossed up a few beamers in anger. Unfortunately just as I was starting to look ready for the Hampshire county cricket team in true English cricket tradition the rain fell and the covers were back on just in time for tea.

Good luck to England in the one day series, after the batting display at Lords they certainly need it!!

Still Running....

Another week, another challenge. I forgot to mention in my last blog but many thanks to Danny from Reading who suggested the Olympics theme, great idea although I’d appreciate something a bit more relaxing next time!!

So after much high brow discussion it was decided that I would be strapped to my Motorola MC70 (well I guess we have become inseparable over the last few months) and was told to run as fast as I could. As I ran at less than half the pace of Usain Bolt, Jannick kept telling me to repeat the test over and over again whilst he recorded the inside of his lens cap. I wasn’t happy to say the least so if anyone can think of a test that involves me throwing things at him then please send me an email.

Thankfully we only had one last test and took to the sandpit. Unfortunately because of a childhood episode I left my bucket and spade at home but check out the full video and see if I have finally managed to cause some harm to my new best friend.

Looking to future tests there seem to have been quite a few requests for me to celebrate the victorious England ashes cricket team so fingers crossed the weather holds out and we can get some time on the field.

Until the next time

Throwing my toys out of the pram!

Whilst summer may seem to have passed by un-noticed, the athletics season continues. Usain Bolt has been setting new world records, so I thought I should try too.

Shot-put, Discuss, Javelin. What do they all have in common? Well, these are all well recognised field sports which I have set out to redefine, by introducing my trusty and seemingly indestructible MC70 device into.

Trust me when I say you’ve never seen athletics like this!

See how both I and the device fair in yet another highly excerpting field test.
